Luckypaws Trust Animal Welfare Charity
The Charity aim is to provide food and medical treatment for Romanian stray dogs and cats, as well as promoting them for adoption.
Our Story
The story started three years ago when Lucky the Labrador was found left to die on the side of a street in Romania, with an infected leg fracture, thirsty, hungry and in pain.
Following various vet treatments, including leg surgery, Lucky arrived in the UK and joined our other four beloved dogs: Zack, Rosie, Tiger and Bella.
Considering his past and having starved on the streets of Romania all his life, Lucky is quite simply the best dog anyone could wish for: obedient, gentle, loving.. and always with a healthy appetite!
That’s why we need your help. Our aim is to rescue and treat dogs in and around Romania and prepare them for travelling to their forever homes.
Whilst in their foster homes, they will have their relevant vaccines, microchip and passport done, ready to be brought to the UK, once an adoptive family is found.
This is Lucky, when we found him (pictured below) It was by looking into his eyes – affected by cataract – and clearly seeing the pain he endured, that inspired us to start this journey and want to help other beautiful living souls like him find a forever home.
Lucky is just one fortunate rescue. There are thousands out there, without a home, food or shelter. These poor souls, pictured below, are examples of unfortunate, but very common, circumstances where they have been left without food, shelter or essential treatment.
You can help by donating, offering to foster them or in any other way you can.
Little by little we can help make a big difference in their lives and offer them a chance to love and be loved, in a safe and happy environment.
